A colic cure? Well not really. The day that there is a cure for colic it will be a major noise, and every doctor will know about it.
Do you think there can be a cure for colic? I personally don’t think there will ever be a colic cure and here is why.
Colic is an effect of brain development in infants, well that is my opinion anyway. (If you want to know why I think that then you will have to read my book about how to stop a crying baby) It stands to reason that the cure will have to affect this brain problem, and right now no doctor that is not insane would mess with giving a baby a drug that affects the brain.
So what do you do? Just let it run it’s course? Well you could, but you would cheating yourself out of seeing your baby happy.
What you should do is what any caregiver does when there is no magic pill, you should treat the symptoms and make the patient as comfortable as possible. It’s just like treating a flu, or a broken arm – there is no magic pill, but you can reduce the symptoms to help make things easier.
OK so lets begin, first you need to know the symptoms. If you are an unlucky parent with a colicky child then you pretty much will be concentrating on the main symptom. The CRYING!
Actually it is as simple as that to begin with. So this will be simpler than you thought.
Job done…
Just kidding.
How do you treat colic? Well there are 5 steps, that when put together will put your screaming baby to sleep in a few moments. I normally only need 3 of the 5 steps together and that is enough to put baby into a slumber most of the time.
I will give away Step1, Step 4 and Step 5 to you here now. But to get the really important parts you will have to go to my colic website and get the info for free.
STEP 1 Body Contact.
Touch to the front and back of baby at the same time by
using contact with your own body. This step is primary because it works
in with step 3. I was originally going to make this step 3 but since it is
so fundamental and is required for the other actions that I made it
this is step one.
STEP 2 & 3 left out.
STEP 4: Use a Swaddle. There are Videos on my site on how to do that.
STEP 5: Pacifier – people think this is the best they can do, in these steps it is actually the worst one, and I have proved it to myself over and over. It will actually take longer for baby to sleep when you use a dummy(Pacifier).
There is of course much more detail in my free ebook. All the steps occupy at least 15 pages in the free ebook.
